Paul Emery & Swell Productions present A Thousand Kisses Deep: The Songs of Leonard Cohen

“Coupled with the richness of Leonard Cohen’s writing, your arrangements, and the seasoned musicianship each of you bring, the show left me deeply touched… …one of the most rewarding evenings of entertainment I can remember, not just here, but anywhere.”                      – Jordan Fisher Smith

One of San Francisco’s light show pioneers, George Holden will be on board also with George Holden’s Liquid Show & Live Cinema. The light show/live cinema accompanying the large ensemble presentation contains vintage image and footage of Cohen as part of the mix. http://www.liquidlightshow.org/

Paul Emery & Swell Productions present A Thousand Kisses Deep: The Songs of Leonard Cohen, a reprise of his triumphant tribute to one of the most fascinating and enigmatic singer/songwriters of the late 60s.

The lineup includes 13  excellent NorCal musicians and singers: Anni McCann, Kimberly Bass, Eleanore MacDonald, Lorraine Gervais, Paul Emery, Pat Jacobsen, Peter Wilson, Stephen Holland, Perry Mills, Beau Askew, Randy McKean, Brady Mills & Arthur Gould.

In 2011, the group assembled for three sold-out evenings at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley and went on to perform at the Nevada Theatre and 24th Street Theatre in Sacramento. They have since performed the show a total of 14 times, selling out eleven of those shows. The eight-piece band and six singers bring the instrumentation of Cohen’s most recent touring band with woodwinds, strings, guitars and keyboards and back-up singers.

“The lyrical depth and beauty of Leonard Cohens music is an endless well of inspiration to those who love his music. The songs never grow old and each performance reveals a new layer of inspiration to the audience and players alike.” – Paul Emery
